I have four exciting events coming up between now and April. I would love to connect with you if you’re attending any of these conferences!
- SDE Maryland PreK-K Conference
- Towson, MD
- Feb 9-10
As an early childhood education major and someone who has taught exclusively in grades PreK-3, I am so excited to meet with educators who love teaching our youngest learners! I’ll be presenting both days of the conference on topics including digital storytelling apps, classroom routines that get kids talking (and writing) about math strategies, making every moment count in the classroom, getting kids excited about reading, and Unshakeable (how to find joy in teaching every day, no matter what.) This is going to be an incredible conference! Learn about the PreK & Kindergarten events.
- Teaching & Learning 2015 (in conjunction with NBPTS)
- Washington, DC
- March 13-14
I was invited with 9 other educators to be a facilitator for Digital Learning Day. I’ll be leading a roundtable discussion session on empowering and supporting teachers in future-ready schools. Register here! The DLDay info will be on the conference site soon, & I’ll share more about this event as well as how you can get involved with #DLDay in your school.
- ASCD
- Houston, TX
- March 21-23
I’ve attended the national ASCD conference every year since 2008, and am excited to be headed to Houston this year! As a member of the official Media team for ASCD, I’ll be blogging extensively about the conference and sharing behind-the-scenes glimpses, interviews with ASCD authors, and more. This is one of my favorite events of the year and I wouldn’t miss it for the world! Details/registration info here.
- SDE New England PreK-3 Conference
- Manchester, NH
- April 13-14
This conference will have lots of hands-on, interactive sessions, including 9 Make & Take sessions! There are 11 expert presenters over the course of the two day conference. I’ll be presenting on April 13th only, talking about topics like understanding student behavior, 7 steps for teaching any expectation, tech integration for limited resources, and of course, Unshakeable! Learn more and register here.
These are going to be some amazing events–I hope to see you there!

I’m so bummed to learn that you will be at T&L this year (I know that sounds so mean but I mean it nicely)! I went last year and it was AH-MAZING…but I can’t go this year because I’m going to Finland instead. It would have been so awesome to see/hear you in person.
Aw, Raye, that would have been great! I would love to meet you in person. Finland sounds amazing though–are you going for work or fun?
