Show us your classroom photos!

Today I tackled a task that’s been on my to-do list for a loooong time: revamping the Other Teachers’ Rooms section of my website so that each submitter has their own separate page. This makes it much easier to link to and pin specific classroom organization and decoration ideas. The older submissions will remain in PDFs on Google Docs (at least until I have 20+ spare hours to save all the images separately and then upload each one to the site…so, yeah, that probably won’t be happening any time soon) but at least each tour is now on an individual page. And going forward, all new tour submissions will have their photo slideshows embedded right into their pages.

I was inspired to get moving on this task because Mary Amoson of the fabulous blog Sharing Kindergarten sent me the very first VIDEO classroom tour submission! Her room is absolutely gorgeous and she’s got a ton of great ideas for decorating and organizing a classroom.

I’d love to feature photos or video of your classroom, too! Just email your images or videos to me, and I’ll create your very own page on The Cornerstone to share your classroom  pictures with teachers around the world! You can send me a link to where you have uploaded your video tour to YouTube or TeacherTube, or a provide me with a link to a photo album on your blog, Flickr, Picassa, etc.

Don’t worry about making your classroom look perfect. We want to see REAL rooms that REAL kids use! Show us your bulletin boards, desk arrangement, materials organization, classroom library, and any other part of your room that works well for you and your students. The best way to figure out great classroom arrangement ideas is to see what other teachers are doing, so please share your ideas! There haven’t been ANY submissions from second or fifth grades, so I’d love to see teachers in those grades send some images in. Middle/high school teachers, special education teachers,ESL teachers–we want to see your rooms, too!
