On the mend and moving forward

By Angela Watson

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers over the past two and a half weeks as I stepped back from blogging and social media. I’m really glad I took the time to rest, regroup, and heal. It has done my body, soul, and mind so much good.

While the doctors still don’t have any answers about what’s happening with me, they have ruled out all serious, life-threatening issues. My blood work is now coming back as completely normal and I’m in far less pain. There’s no real medical reason for that, as I’m not receiving any kind of medication or treatment. I believe firmly in the power of prayer and I appreciate so many of you who have commented, emailed, and sent Facebook messages letting me know that you have come into agreement with me in asking for complete healing. I’m keeping my eyes fixed on God, trusting Him and His plan no matter what is in store, and am so grateful to be feeling (and doing) much better.

Things are also progressing well with our new house. The movers came Wednesday so the next few weeks will be filled with deliveries, unpacking, and setting up a home. We’ve been in a very small studio apartment in Brooklyn the entire 4.5 years we’ve been married, and the whole time, we have been intermittently looking for something more suitable for hopefully raising a family. The house has been the other major answer to prayer for us lately–it’s just perfect for our needs and our budget. For privacy reasons, I won’t share the location, but it’s in a rural area where we can have some space and solitude within a reasonable driving distance of New York City. We’ll be able to split our time between the city and the mountains so nothing will need to change in terms of where our work is based. Everything came together so quickly and in such an unexpected way that we’re still trying to process the fact that we have a house, a place that is really ours. I’ve been trying to take it easy and not do too much yet, but I’m looking forward to everything that’s ahead.

I started getting back on social media a few days ago, and regular blog posting will resume next week.
