New year, new mindset: teacher resources for kicking off 2015

By Angela Watson

I have a really, really awesome announcement to make next week about a new project I’m launching. And it’s not the kind of announcement that’s only exciting for me. You know how bloggers do that sometimes, right? Like, “Time for the big reveal–a sponsor gave me a brand new wardrobe and free trip to Tahiti, and yooouuuu getttttttt…to see the pictures on Instagram!!

This new project is about something that is going to be a lot of work for me, but very exciting for YOU. You, personally, will benefit. It will help get you inspired and re-energized on a weekly basis. It might even be life-changing.

And it will be completely free and accessible to every teacher.

There are only about 5 people in the universe that have any idea this is something I’ve been working on. It has nothing to do with Unshakeable. This project is a completely different medium, unlike anything I’ve attempted to do before. And I cannot WAIT to share it with you.

The official launch date is  early January 2015. Make sure you’re signed up for my email list so you can be the first to find out about this and all the other new teaching resources I’m creating.

I do have a few other resources for helping you gear up for 2015 that are available now. Have you checked out Awakened: Change Your Mindset to Transform Your Teaching? I always put the eBook version of it and the devotional study guide on sale over the winter holidays because I know that teachers have a little bit more time in the week for reading, and many of you are anxious to start the new year off on the right foot.

From now until January 15th, you can use the discount code NEWYEAR15 to get 35% off the Kindle, Nook, or PDF version of Awakened and all my other books and webinars, too.

I’ve also got some blog posts that can help you get in the right mindset for the coming year:

Secrets of teachers who love their jobs
Be brave, be balanced
You can do anything, but you can’t do everything
The myth of the super teacher
Protecting the kids (and yourself) from bureaucracy
A counter-intuitive way to re-energize ourselves
There is still hope for you in this profession: a message for disheartened teachers
Connectivity addiction: taking a weekly day of rest
The rainbow in someone else’s cloud: a message for educators from Maya Angelou
How to get refocused and back to your purpose and vision

Aaaaand if that’s not enough to get you re-energized for 2015, here are my favorite teacher inspiration resources, curated on Pinterest:

I can’t wait until January 1st so I can share the great news! Enjoy your time off to rest and rejuvenate. Good things are ahead in 2015!

  1. I can’t wait to see what you have planned for us! I have followed you for years and you’ve never disappointed !

    1. That’s so sweet, Melanie! I really appreciate your support. I think there’s going to be a short delay in the launch (probably no more than a week) due to factors I’ll explain in the January 1st post…but this is coming!!
