Happy Thanksgiving from snowy Virginia!

By Angela Watson

We’re currently under 5 inches of snow at my grandmother’s house and expecting several inches more. My mom and I just cooked up some sausage and eggs we got straight from a neighbour’s farm, and the guys are out shovelling the driveway.

My family won’t be getting together for Christmas, so we’re enjoying our White Thanksgiving together. The snow does make it feel like Christmas time, and for my parents (who drove up from Florida), it’s definitely a special treat! We’ll be enjoying a traditional Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow night with my aunts and uncles, cousins, and three little nieces (all under age 5.) Can’t wait to see them!

I hope you have a wonderful, relaxing long weekend and a happy Thanksgiving!
