Are you in need of an extra burst of encouragement, motivation, and inspiration? In my latest book Unshakeable: 20 Ways to Enjoy Teaching Every Day…No Matter What, I’ve identified twenty different strategies for enjoying teaching on a daily basis. Each one is a different chapter in the book:
The idea behind Unshakeable is that you don’t have to wait for teaching to become fun again. You can plan for it!
The book is a collection of inspiring mindset shifts and practical, teacher-tested ideas for getting more satisfaction from your job. It’s a set of practices to help you find your inner drive and an intrinsic motivation that no one can take away. It’s an approach that helps you incorporate a love of life into your teaching, and a love of teaching into your life. Learn how to tap into what makes teaching inherently rewarding and enjoy your work every day … no matter what.

You can also download images of the 20 ways to use as computer desktop/ phone screen backgrounds, or print them out to decorate notebooks, lesson plan binders, or the bulletin board in your faculty lounge. You can even share the images on social media to spread the inspiration to your friends.
Here’s how to join us for the “20 Ways in 20 Days” online book club for Unshakeable:
- When: February 1-20, 2016
- Where: Online via a closed Facebook group
- Cost: Free
How It Works: The discussion is going to be casual and fun in a private Facebook group that makes it easy to check in each day to comment or post your own reflections and questions. I’ll be co-moderating with Frankie Robinson: she’s the teacher who runs the wonderful Educator’s Book Club.
Frankie and I will be posting about the 20 ways to enjoy teaching, sharing one idea per day. We’ll also be sharing helpful articles, funny teacher memes, and all kinds of great things to help you get you teaching mojo back. There’s no commitment if you join–just pop into the group whenever you have time!
Click here to join the Unshakeable online book club on Facebook. You will get a notification from Facebook when you’ve been added (please give us a couple of hours to approve your request.)
