Becky Burley is an educator with 18 years experience teaching middle school social studies in a public magnet program in Southeastern Virginia. She has served on standards revision and curriculum development committees for the state Department of Education and has served as a teacher trainer at the local and state levels. The 40 Hour Teacher Workweek program helped free up her weekends to serve on the board of a non-profit assisting local animal shelters. Becky and her dog Roxanne are currently participating in citizen science research focused on animal learning and communication.
