Once again, hurricane season conflicts with the start of school. We were supposed to start Monday the 18th but ended up getting Monday and Tuesday off due to Tropical Storm Fay. Thank God we had no damage and the school closing was more of a formality than anything (can’t risk having kids out in high winds). My parents live 2.5 hours north and they’ve gotten almost 28 INCHES of rain in the last few days! I guess schools in central Florida have been closed all week–crazy. So, I spent what was supposed to be the first two days of school just sleeping in, cleaning the house, watching the Olympics, and relaxing. Sweet!
